Is Cheese Lover free?
Yes, with no time limit. The library, the journal, label reading, the top pairings for each cheese, one tasting flight and three AI photo suggestions a month are free. Cheese Lover Pro is available monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The App Store shows the price for your country.
What does Cheese Lover Pro add?
Pro adds unlimited AI photo suggestions, every pairing, pairing by drink and suggestions of what to try next. It also unlocks the Fridge, the Passport map and taste profile, unlimited flights with shopping lists and iCloud sync. The yearly plan includes a one-week free trial for eligible customers.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The library is on your device, and label reading and AI photo suggestions both run on it without a connection.
Do my photos leave my phone?
No. Label reading uses Apple's Vision framework and photo suggestions use Apple Intelligence on your device. A photo is kept only if you attach it to a tasting.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your journal stays on your device, and in your own iCloud if you turn on sync.
Which devices does Cheese Lover work on?
iPhone with iOS 26 or later and iPad with iPadOS 26 or later. AI photo suggestions need iOS 27 and a device with Apple Intelligence. The app is in English.
